In 2010, Alex Pezold founded TokenEx with a vision of creating the most secure, nonintrusive, and flexible data security solution on the market. Prior to founding TokenEx, Alex earned a master’s degree in computer science and information security through the CyberCorps program at the University of Tulsa. While working as a qualified security assessor with the PCI SSC, Alex first recognized the potential of cloud tokenization. This inspired him to use it as a scope- and risk-reducing technology to protect data in an increasingly privacy-focused world.
Matthew Meehan, a bi-coastal entrepreneur and strategic executive, brings to TokenEx extensive SaaS, payment technology, and data security experience with high-growth technology companies. Matt’s wealth of knowledge and expertise ensuring operational excellence also includes capital raising, strategy design, business development, risk management, acquisitions, and implementing growth strategies to generate revenue streams and profitability, maximizing shareholder value.
A Tulsa native and TU superfan, Jeffrey Rudd joined TokenEx as vice president of finance in 2015. Before heading TokenEx’s finance and HR departments, Jeffrey earned a BSBA in finance from Tulsa and an MBA from Oklahoma State. His previous experience includes seven-year stints as vice president of Gregory W Group and associate director of alumni relations for the University of Tulsa.
John Noltensmeyer is a privacy and data security professional with nearly 30 years of experience in information technology. He holds multiple certifications and maintains extensive knowledge of international privacy regulations and industry security standards. Prior to joining TokenEx, John's career spanned both the financial services sector and federal government, including technical lead roles at the International Trade Administration and United States Department of Commerce.
Equally passionate about customer experience and organizational growth, Bryan Blott operates at the intersection of CX and product evolution. A nearly 20-year veteran of the tech industry, Bryan has the unique combination of vision and experience to lead our product team into the new decade.
Mark Oare strongly believes in the power of humanity—people helping people—and that sense of empathy and understanding informs his sales philosophy. A self-described “well-mentored, vocal strategist,” Mark brings TokenEx’s sales team a clear vision of success and a proven track record of generating revenue.
Courtney Carter is passionate about people, and she is committed to helping them reach their full potential. In her current role at TokenEx, she brings more than a decade of experience in HR and talent acquisition. She joined TokenEx in 2020 and is looking forward to helping make TokenEx an even greater place to work.
In his role as TokenEx’s information security practice lead, Jon Clemenson combines a focus on quantifying and improving our security posture with a passion for automation. With 15 years of results-driven leadership experience in the tech industry and federal government, he considers security a team sport and enjoys tackling problems from a learn-it-all perspective. When he isn’t implementing initiatives that align security with business efficiency, you can find him in line at the nearest food truck.
Craig Thoendel’s vast and varied experience in IT comes from a career that’s spanned diverse industries and nearly three decades. In his role as director of IT operations, Craig is charged with ensuring our IT systems and resources operate smoothly—no easy task for an organization that demands virtually uninterrupted availability.
Bob Pezold oversees TokenEx’s legal team and has served as general counsel since 2013. His distinguished career includes two stints in the U.S. Navy and nearly 30 years at his own firm. In more than five decades of practice, he has specialized in military, energy, tax, and data security law.
