TokenEx Announces Policyholder Tokenization at InsureTech Connect 2019

Tokenization protects records and desensitizes them for risk reduction and industry compliance.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sept. 18, 2019 – TokenEx is making its InsureTech Connect debut next week, attending the insurance conference for the first time and sponsoring the Cyber and Privacy category.

InsureTech Connect (ITC) is the largest and most comprehensive gathering of insurance leaders and innovators, bringing together more than 7,000 attendees from over 60 countries. ITC 2019 showcased the insights of more than 275 leaders and entrepreneurs spanning the insurance ecosystem throughout the three-day conference. Speaker selections and sessions explored current trends, innovation and opportunities in insurtech, while participating attendees were able to engage with key influencers from across the industry

Although TokenEx primarily operates within the payments space, it is excited about its technology’s application for the insurance industry. Because tokenization deidentifies data – virtually eliminating the risk of data theft – it can protect sensitive information to meet the requirements of many security and privacy regulations. It also features length- and format-preserving token schemes to help retain much of the original, sensitive data’s business utility, while minimizing disruption to an organization’s existing business processes.

In 2018, TokenEx performed 4.6 billion operations within its global customer base. It also produced a 58 percent increase in employees and reached a three-year average revenue growth of 60 percent.

Founded in 2010, TokenEx began as a security solution for protecting payment card information via tokenization. As a flexible, scalable solution for all payment types, TokenEx’s cloud-based tokenization is especially effective at helping organizations reduce their scope of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliance. It works by exchanging portions of sensitive cardholder data, such as a primary account number, for placeholder tokens and storing the original, sensitive data outside of an organization’s cardholder data environment.

To celebrate its first appearance at the event, TokenEx will be showcasing a new booth and an exciting new video game, TokenExploder. Visitors can register at booth #924 for an opportunity to win a handheld version of the game

Continued innovation in support of its customers’ business needs is one of the strengths of the TokenEx Cloud Security Platform. For more information, visit or contact directly with any questions about the company, its platform or how tokenization can help organizations and their customers.
